Ethiopian Airlines has today inaugurated its Cargo Terminal-II facility. The ceremony was attended by Ethiopia’s prime minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, transport minister Ahmed Shide and Ethiopian Airlines Group chief executive Tewolde GebreMariam, along with participants from the ICAO Cargo Forum being held in Addis Ababa.
KGT was pleased to have been selected as the sole supplier for the security screening equipment for the Terminal. After a successful installation the Terminal is now ready to begin full operations with phase two being planned as part of Ethiopia’s 2025 vision. Phase two will increase the capacity of the Terminal by an extra 600,000 tonnes/year.
